The BANKS homeplace, "HOWARD GROVE" was reportedly a dowry from Martha Anne's father and was originally part of the WOOD'S estate. Henry married Julia WOOD. [Essex County, VA, Deed Book 41, Page 50, 20 Aug 1823] Henry H. BOUGHAN & Julia, his wife, sold land to Fontaine WOOD. Deed signed by Henry and Julia.
